This gives us great hope that the change is possible next year.

Natallia Radzina, editor-in-chief of the Charter-97 website, has become a guest of Studio X97. In her interview, she told presenter Yauhen Klimakin that the chances of changing the situation in Belarus are especially high now:

- The economic situation in the country today is just awful. We see that people in the regions are trying to survive on salaries of $150-200. Today the average pension is $100. At the same time, the prices of goods are higher than in Poland. At that, the dictator is going to run for the seventh term. Today, everybody rejects this idea. I can say that today it is noticeable and obvious that the Belarusians are finally united. Today they are united by one idea - Lukashenka must resign.

It seems to me that in the recent history of Belarus, there has never been such a unification of the nation. It did not happen even in the Soviet times. It gives us a great hope that changes are possible next year. We have to work hard, of course, it will not be easy, but the chances are very high.

- Everyone has a soft spot, an Achilles' heel, so to say. In your opinion, where is Lukashenka's Achilles' heel?

- First of all, it is his maniacal desire to stay in power. It will not lead to anything good. He is simply playing himself into a corner with this. Today he has no chance to continue living the way he lived for 25 years. If for no other reason than the fact that he simply has no money. He is not ready to undertake reforms in the economy, Russia is not ready to provide him with energy resources at the same prices or irrecoverable loans. The West is also not ready to finance the last dictatorship in Europe.
