Yauhen Afnahel: Officials And Security Services Are Against Petty Tyrant And Want Changes

There are plenty of examples of that.

This is what European Belarus coordinator Yauhen Afnahel said in an interview to Studio X97:

- According to your opinion, are there many people in power who want changes?

- It seems to me that there are even more of them in power than among common people. Why so? It is because they communicate with this petty tyrant all the time. Just think of a situation when you hear idiotic orders, idiotic ideas and propositions every day, and eventually, when you are brought to task publicly.

Lukashenka has a habit of holding teleconferences, where he simply slinging mud at the officials he has appointed. It's a performance for people: "I'm good - and they're all bad". And I think that it is very unpleasant for those who are sitting there with their heads down.

There is a simple example. During the last campaign, our candidate Andrei Voynich was collecting signatures in Maskouski district of Minsk. There were some houses in his district where officials lived - former or current minor ones, but nevertheless - officials and their families. There was no other place where so many signatures were put for independent candidates as in those houses. It was just a record for Minsk.

Here is a simple answer. Both officials and law enforcers help us, they give us a cover sometimes. In fact, there are a lot of such examples. I have mentioned some examples, and we will give you some later.
