"Chairmen Of Commissions Started To Lose Their Nerves"

Independent observers record hundreds of violations.

The last day of the election campaign on 16 November turned out to be the most eventful one.

While supporters of pro-governmental parties were dancing at the Kamarouski market, officials in election commissions were calling the police on the democratic forces representatives, Belsat reports.

"We've just come from the police. The chairmen of the commissions started to lose their nerves: the chairman simply called the police and said that the observer was "drunk". The police came and took him to the department for examination, which determined that he was sober," - Aliaksandr Silkou, a coordinator of the Right to Choice campaign, said.

During the early voting the observers from the opposition parties recorded more than 350 facts of breaking the electoral legislation, at least 16 democratic candidates were removed from the "elections," a dozen of them were deprived of the opportunity to speak on state radio and television.
