Belarusian Economy May "Overheat"

Belarusian Economy May "Overheat"

It's related to the growth of credit.

The Belarusians broke another record in the number of loans taken from banks. Our compatriots owe a total of almost 13.5 billion rubles. Since the beginning of the year, the growth has amounted to almost two billion, only in September, it was 270 million, Belsat reports.

Leu Lvouski, an employee of the Belarusian Economic Research and Education Center (BEROC), commented on the situation:

"The growth in lending is associated with loans for consumer goods. People want to increase their consumption and welfare. National Bank of Belarus is firm in the position of reducing inflation and stabilizing the situation."
