The radiation traces could have been left by one of the passengers.

In the evening of October 8, a train from Berlin arrived at Belorussky Railway Station in Moscow. The train was met by specialists of emergency services and chemical laboratory. Earlier, a number of media reported that an excess of standard radiation level had been recorded in one of the carriages on the border.

According to the Baza Telegram-channel, the excess radiation in one of the carriages was recorded at the border of Poland and Belarus. There were no passengers in it. An Interfax source reported that, presumably, traces of radiation could have been left by one of the train passengers undergoing treatment for cancer.

Specialists met the train at the station in Moscow. The inspection showed that there was no threat to the passengers of the train, TASS reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in Moscow.

"Laboratories of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and Radon took measurements in the train's car, and it was found that there was no threat to the health of passengers who were on the train," - the source said.
