Lukashenka Appoints New Internal Troops Commander

Since 2018, he has been head of the dictator's security headquarters.

On Tuesday, October 15, Lukashenka considered personnel issues. Thus, he appointed Yury Nazaranka deputy interior minister - the commander of the internal troops, BelTA informs.

- I don't think it's a big drawback that you haven't headed the units. You won't have to control the fronts - you will have to ensure order in the country. If necessary, if we have to involve our internal troops. This is your prerogative, this is how you are different and will be different from others - you must ensure order in the country, - the dictator said after the appointment. - God forbid that we, the people in shoulder straps, will all go to the front if the threat comes from outside.

Lukashenka noted that Yury Nazaranka headed the Special Rapid Response Team of the Interior Forces. The ruler believes that Yury Nazaranka's experience in commanding this unit will be useful for further service.

- This is a very well trained squad. I know this very well, because I took an active part in its formation when it was first established. We have been polishing it, and I hope that it would be a very good team. I have not heard anything bad about its work, only positive things. The guys are always in the service. We always mobilized the unit to detain and neutralize all kinds of bandits.

Yury Nazaranka is 43 years old, he graduated from the Military Academy of Belarus. For 10 years, until 2007, he served in various positions in the 3214 military unit of the Internal Troops. In 2009, he became the first deputy commander of the unit - Chief of Staff of the Brest 5526 military unit.

From March 2010 to October 2014, he served in the Security Service of the dictator.

In October 2014, he became the commander of the Special Rapid Response Team of the 3214 unit. Two years later, he became commander of the Special Rapid Response Team of the 3rd Independent Special Forces Brigade of the Interior Ministry troops.

From March 2018, he headed the headquarters of the Lukashenka security service.
