Belarusian Foreign Ministry Held Consultations With Russia On Relations With USA And Canada

The Belarusian delegation was headed by the Head of the Department of Europe and North America.

The heads of the relevant departments of the Belarusian and Russian Foreign Ministries held consultations in Moscow to discuss the relations between the two countries and the United States and Canada. This is reported by the Belarusian Foreign Ministry.

The Belarusian delegation was headed by Head of the Main Directorate of Europe and North America Andrei Bushyla, while the Russian delegation was headed by Director of the Department of North America of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Georgi Borisenko.

"The parties discussed the state of relations between Belarus and Russia with the U.S. and Canada, as well as approaches to building a dialogue with these countries, and exchanged views on the prospects of bilateral relations," - the statement reads.

We remind that since last year, there has been a "warming" in the relations between Belarus and the United States. In September, the U.S. Deputy Secretary of State for Political Affairs David Hale visited our country. As a result of his visit, it was announced that the U.S. was ready to discuss further relief of the sanctions against Belarus, as well as that Minsk and Washington were returning ambassadors after an 11-year break.
