Rumas Ordered To Create Working Group On “Integrating” Belarus And Russian Federation

By order of the Prime Minister of Belarus Siarhei Rumas, a working group has been created to work out proposals for the further development of the Belarusian-Russian “integration”, headed by Economy Minister Dzmitry Krutoi, interfax.by reports.

The corresponding order was signed by Rumas on Thursday.

“According to the document, the working group will work out proposals for the further development of the Belarusian-Russian integration, and submit them to the Council of Ministers of Belarus, if necessary, with draft regulations,” – the government’s press service notes.

According to its information, the working group will also ensure interaction with the working group established in the Russian Federation on Russian-Belarusian relations.

As Krutoi said earlier, the Belarusian-Russian intergovernmental working group has now stepped up to creating the agenda for negotiations to develop proposals for resolving issues in bilateral relations.

“From the Russian side and from our side, only the compositions of these working groups have been formed today. Experts in relevant areas will work out the agenda of future negotiations, an analysis of the entire contractual base of the “union state”, the Eurasian Economic Union will be conducted,” – the minister says.

At the same time, he stresses, the date of the first meeting of the working group has not yet been determined.

Earlier, a similar working group, headed by Economic Development Minister Maxim Oreshkin, was created by the Russian side.
