The dictator said that IT products are “like a tractor.”

Lukashenka spoke about this in a big interview with Sergei Brilev, the Russian propagandist and the host of the TV channel Russia, tut.by reports.

The dictator said that in our country IT-sphere was paid attention to earlier as well.

– We worked on a contract, on a subcontract, we created something. They come to Belarus, because it's cheap and good. And we have created certain products for these companies. Now we have started creating a finished product. Just like a tractor – we manufactured it here and sold it here as well. And we want to create not only some part of this product, say, for Microsoft or Motorola and so on. We want to sell a whole product. It is much more expensive, and we already see the effect.

Lukashenka also told about his meeting with the representatives of the IT sphere.

– We've been approaching those blockchains and crypto currencies, and finally got them. And stopped. I invited IT specialists: they all whine to the media, including even the oppositional ones, that they lack something. I collected them and asked: well, you are all eggheads, you're so smart and everything, what are you whining about, what do you want?

They stare at me. Here, I say, I give you half a year to make a list of everything you want, make a list of what prevents you from working in Belarus today. Yes, we are advanced and all. Time has passed and we got stuck, something hinders us. So say what is that? I am not so advanced.

I myself, I said them, don't even approach a PC – I have a person to work with the computers. When he was 15, he already could deal with everything connected to the computer both at home and here, at work.

– Are you talking about Kolia, your son? – Brilev asked. Lukashenka answered in the affirmative and continued that the economic part of the government was involved in the work on the laws.

– So they got down to the work. Six months later they brought me documents. <...> And I, figuratively speaking without looking, signed everything.
