The units of the Defence Forces blocked the assault groups of the Russian army, which broke through to the town of Krasnohorivka in the Donetsk region.

This was reported by the speaker of the operational-strategic group of troops of "Khortytsa" Lieutenant Colonel Nazar Voloshyn, reports ArmyInform.

"The enemy broke into the town by small assault groups and settled on the territory of the refractory plant. Through the efforts of our units, in particular the 59th brigade, the enemy was blocked and is still there," Voloshyn said.

The "Khortytsa" representative onoted that as of now the enemy groups are cut off from the supply of ammunition.

"Our defenders completely keep under fire control and Krasnohorivka and the vicinity of the settlement. Over the past 24 hours the defenders destroyed about 30 enemies on the approaches to Krasnohorivka," he added.

In addition, Voloshin also said that the enemy is conducting assaults near the settlement of Netailive and trying to storm the eastern part of Pervomayske.

"They are also coming in small groups near Nevelske, counterattacking, our soldiers are repelling them," the speaker added.
