Russian Positions Are Falling Apart

Russian Positions Are Falling Apart

The post-Soviet space is disappearing before our eyes.

The Putin regime continues to focus its foreign policy efforts on waging a grueling war against Ukraine. This direction is delaying an increasing amount of resources, and here, after the United States makes decisions on the allocation of a new package of military aid to Ukraine, and Russia will face additional overstrain. As a result, obsession with the Ukrainian direction leads to the leveling of Russia's role not only as a global but even as a regional power. The post-Soviet space, where Moscow had a privileged position, is disappearing before our eyes. The invasion of Ukraine was the collapse of not only the European security system, gave rise to another NATO enlargement in Scandinavia, increased the militarization of the EU member states, but also destroyed the residual Russian influence on the bordering states.

Russian positions fell apart in some regions, marking significant problems for Russian security. Not very smart enforcers, who seized all the power thanks to Putin, went too far in exploiting the topic of an external threat, designed a war against a peace-loving Ukraine out of the blue, and now have the image of insane in the eyes of people. The ex-CIS members realized the inferiority of the power line of the Putinists, and they strive to stop the risks of Russian force interventions as much as possible.

Moscow shamefully leaves the South Caucasus. For the sake of implementing the ephemeral geopolitical project of the southern corridor to Iran, Armenia was treacherously thrown away. The GRU [Russian intelligence forces - Ed.] and the FSB tried to overthrow Pashinyan's government, implementing the scenario of the pro-Kremlin colour revolution, but they got punched in the teeth. As a result, the Armenian government, not wanting to deal with Putin's scum, began to westernize its foreign policy.

The Azerbaijanis did not become allies of the Russians. They see their future in the Turkic world, so with a storm of applause they are watching the withdrawal of the Russian troops from Karabakh. Erdogan and Aliyev fooled the great geopolitician, made him dependent on their wishes, using a Muslim trick. Here lies a colossal threat to the territorial integrity of the Russian Federation, because pan-Turkism is aimed at incorporating all the "10 Turkic republics of Russia" into its structure.

Against this background, the Russian special services, which are dragging the law on foreign agents in Georgia following Patrushev’s orders, faced a powerful anti-Moscow popular movement. In Tbilisi, where opposition rallies against the law are taking place, clashes began between protesters and the police, who are trying to suppress the riot police.

After an unsuccessful attempt to undermine the Armenian government and in the face of an unknown outcome of the current anti-Russian protests in Georgia, Putin's special services got very active in Moldova. Under their dictation, a congress of some Moldovan politicians was held in Moscow, such as the oligarch Shor, Lungu ("Chance"), Parasca ("Revival"), Grozava ("Victoire"), Basquier ("Alternative Salvation Force of Moldova") and Hutsul from the Gagauz. Together, these characters created the political bloc "Victory", which in the autumn of 2024 will have to knock Sandu out of the presidency and block the European course of Moldova. The puppets of Moscow are preparing the ground for the return of Chisinau to the orbit of Russian influence. Again, methods of destabilization of the situation, anti-state intrigues and incitement of separatism in Gagauzia will be used. Given the exhaustion and misfires of Putin's special services, military provocations against Moldova, which is also seen in the Kremlin as a target, as well as Ukraine, cannot be ruled out.
