Polish Foreign Minister: Trump's Attitude Towards Ukraine Changing

Radoslaw Sikorski spoke about the attitude of the ex-President of the United States.

The stance of former US President and Republican candidate in this year's election Donald Trump regarding the war in Ukraine may not be as pro-Russian as it is thought.

This opinion was expressed by Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski, Politico writes on Sunday, April 28.

Sikorski noted that no protest from Trump's side about the $60 billion aid package to Ukraine at the final stage shows that the former president's attitude to Ukraine is changing.

‘I didn't hear any protest. So I hope that candidate Trump has seen that this opposition to helping Ukraine is not really popular in the United States, that it does not really do any good to his chances,’ the Polish foreign minister said.

According to him, Trump was right when he urged European NATO members to spend more on defence. Sikorski also reminded that Trump sent Ukraine anti-tank missiles ‘before the war when others were not doing so'."

Politico notes that after meeting with Polish President Andrzej Duda in New York in early April, Trump noted that Ukraine's ‘survival and strength’ is important to the United States and that he ‘always supports Poland.’
