The Family Tried to Injure The Police Officer Near Staubtsy

The story happened on May 1.

In the evening of May 1, a resident of Staubtsy district was taken to the hospital with an injured hand after a visit. When a policeman arrived to drunken people, one of them threatened him with pitchfork and the other wrecked the car. It's reported by the press service of the Interior Ministry.

The story took place in Staubtsy district on May 1. The police were informed that in the village of Viazovets the ambulance took to hospital a 32-year-old man with a stab wound of his arm.

An investigation team and the local police officer arrived at the scene. He found out that the victim was at his neighbors' that evening; he drank with the owner of the house and his two sons. There was a conflict and the man was injured.

While the officer was waiting for backup, a drunken family came to him and started threatening.

"It started with foul language and verbal threats to the police officer," the Interior Ministry says. Requests to calm down only irritated them. - The head of the family came home and soon returned with pitchfork in his hands".

The police officer warned he could use his standard-issue sidearm. In response, one tried to hit the policeman, and the other man began to smash the service car with a metal pipe.

"In order to cool down those men, a first lieutenant had to fire off warning shots. It made them stop", the ministry says.

His colleagues helped to detain the men. They were a 56-year-old father and two sons aged 26 and 30. Now they are in a temporary detention facility.

The Interior Ministry notes that the actions of the detainees show signs of the crime under Article 364 of the Criminal Code (violence or threat of violence against police officers). It may cause 3 months of arrest or up to 6 years of imprisonment.
