In the meantime, Belarusians will pray for delivering the country from the evil one.

The Belarusian authorities continued to demolish the crosses in Kurapaty, Basta Telegram channel writes.

Tadeusz Kondrusiewicz, head of the Catholic Church in Belarus:

“Once again I appeal to those responsible for the demolition of crosses: stop the “Cross massacre” in order to solve a sore problem through the dialogue with the society and religious organizations, and build in our Fatherland a civilization of peace and harmony ... God, protect the Cross from humiliation, as salvation is in it.”

Siarhei Lepin, Spokesman for the Belarusian Orthodox Church:

“I thought that it was over, but no... The “improvement” of Kurapaty continues. Another 60 crosses, this time metallic ones, which were installed in 2017 with money raised by the public administration of the Kurapaty Memorial through the crowdfunding, were demolished.

I am not authorized to summarize and decide for everyone, but, nevertheless, if there are Orthodox believers among the participants of this improvement, then it seems to me that they should consult with their confessors about whether they need to or not repent of such manifestation of vanity.”

The ruler has played this game for too long, to such an extent that he could be cursed with bell, book and candle. In the meantime, Belarusians will pray for delivering the country of the evil one.

On April 4, the authorities demolished about 100 crosses along the Kurapaty perimeter.

On March 1, at a press conference, Lukashenka expressed dissatisfaction with the crosses around Kurapaty, which were visible from the road.

At the call of one of the leaders of the Belarusian National Congress Mikalai Statkevich, in the center of Minsk a prayer service took place on April 7, in which about 1,000 people took part.

The BCD Co-Chairman Pavel Seviarynets supported the idea of holding a prayer service.

On Saturday, April 12, the authorities again demolished 50 crosses along the Kurapaty perimeter.

The Narodnaya Hramada party, which is a part of the Belarusian National Congress, called for a new prayer “Deliver us from the evil one” at 6 p.m. on April 15 near the Lukashenka administration (Minsk, Karl Marx Street, 38).
