Tadeusz Kondrusiewicz was treated in Bialystok.

On March 18, Head of the Catholic Church of Belarus Archbishop Tadeusz Kondrusiewicz was discharged from hospital. In Bialystok, he underwent spinal surgery. There, in Poland, he served a mass for the doctors and those who prayed for his health, the website catholic.by reports.

“Every day I feel better and can walk without problems. It is clear that I will not walk a 5 or 10-kilometer distance, but in the course of the day I walk about two kilometers in total, overcoming 200–300 meters at a time. I hope that the distance will increase every day. This is also the recommendation of doctors who claim that movement is the best rehabilitation,” the archbishop said.

According to him, he is practically banned from siting, standing, bending, making sharp movements, etc.

Kondrusiewicz thanked the doctors, God and all those who prayed for him.

Kondrusiewicz was hospitalized on March 10. A spinal surgery was planned. During the absence of the archbishop, his duties, which canon law allows, were performed by vicar general, Bishop Yury Kasabudski.
