Blogger Pavuk Detained In Aktsiabrskі Town

Police said they allegedly received a message about mining from the blogger's computer.

To get into the apartment of the famous video blogger Andrei Pavuk in Aktsiabrskі town (Homel region), the investigators stated that a message about the mining of the District Executive Committee building was allegedly received from his home computer.

The blogger’s wife, Volha Pavuk, told about this to the BAJ press service.

– Andrei called and asked me to pick up our daughter, since he was detained by representatives of the Investigative Committee on suspicion of a supposedly false report on mining. I am sure that there was no message, and it was done in order to search our apartment, – Volha said.

Now Andrei Pavuk is detained for interrogation, while security officers informed that they would soon return to the blogger’s apartment with a search warrant.

Andrei Pavuk is a well-known Belarusian video blogger and member of the Belarusian Association of Journalists.
