Hot Water For ‘Parasites’ In Baranavichy gets 10 Times More Expensive

In Baranavichy, the charge for water heating in the utility bill for “parasites” increased from 5.8 to 58 rubles.

Baranavichy resident Iryna reported that the payment for the water heating in the apartment of her and her husband, indicated in the utility bill for March, increased from 5.8 to 58 rubles. The woman wonders how there appeared such a huge sum, because, according to her calculations, the hot water for the “parasites” should not have risen in proice so abruptly, writes intex-press.by.

Iryna lives in a one-room apartment together with her husband and child. The owner of the property is her spouse, and he is the only person registered in this living space, since Iryna and her child are registered at a different address.

Iryna is working, and her husband is not officially employed due to health problems.

“My husband is not sitting at home, he is not idle, but he cannot officially find a job, because he will not pass the necessary medical examination. Actually, we have something to live on, we never whine,” says the interlocutor.

According to Iryna, in mid-March, she and her husband received the utility bill, the total amount indicated in which, to put it mildly, surprised them: the payment for the communal and utility services for their one-room apartment increased 2.5 times.

“The fee for the water heating has increased from 5.8 to 58 rubles! Yes, we knew that my husband, as a non-working citizen, would be charged at full tariff. But no one said that hot water will rise in price by 10 times. How is this possible? Where do these numbers come from? ” she says, indignantly.

Iryna says that, according to her calculations, hot water should have risen in price five times, because now, according to the communal services, the subsidized tariff is 20% of the “full”. And considering that the flow of hot water in their family is 4–5 cubic meters per month, the spouses decided that they would manage the payments.

“We didn’t think that hot water would be so expensive! - says Iryna. “If this tariff, under which we were charged a fee for heating water, is 100 percent, then earlier, it turns out, they used to heat the water for nothing?”
