Director Of Japanese Restaurant Chain Detained In Minsk

He is suspected of not paying taxes for 40 thousand dollars.

In Minsk, the director and co-owner of a network of restaurants serving Japanese cuisine has been arrested on suspicion of causing damage to the state in the form of unpaid taxes in a large amount (part 2 of article 243 of the Criminal Code). According to tut.by, it’s about the LLC Magic of Taste, which promotes the Prosushi delivery service. According to journalists, the director was detained on January 22.

According to the press service of State Control Committee, the company has underpaid about 80 thousand rubles of taxes to the budget.

“The operatives of the State Control Committee for Minsk Region and Minsk, in cooperation with the staff of the Maskouski District Department of the Investigative Committee, have suppressed the illegal activities of co-owners of a large network of restaurants of Japanese cuisine in the Belarusian capital,” – the message says.

It was established that from April 2016 to March 2017, officials of the commercial enterprise did not reflect in accounting some of the cash received from the sale of restaurant products. Understating the actual amount of revenue allowed the business entity to understate the tax base and, as a result, to underpay taxes, the State Control Committee notes.

During searches in the offices of restaurants and at the place of residence of the suspects, 20 thousand dollars were seized, the property of the defendants, including 10 cars, was arrested.
