The blogger was asked about “plans for the evening.”

In the morning of February 17, blogger Aliaksandr Kabanau, who was about to go to Brest, was detained at the train station in Biaroza, the Brest newspaper reports.

After a long questioning as a witness on the events in Brest on February 10, he was released.

“They asked what my plans for the evening were. They were constantly talking to Brest on the phone, receiving instructions. The questions were simply enchanting: for what purpose do you go to Brest, why do go to the cinema, what do you want to express with this? – and others in the same spirit. Obviously, they had to keep me in the police so that I would not have time to go,” – Aliaksandr Kabanau said after leaving the police department.

We remind that on February 10, in Brest, traditional Sunday feeding of pigeons was held in protest against the construction of a battery factory near the city. For the first time in a year, after feeding the pigeons, people did not go home, but walked along Pushkin and Savetskaya streets to the Belarus cinema, where they listened to a street musician for a while. Last Sunday, there were no detentions.
