Mikalai Salianik: We Wanted To Show Absurdity Of Lukashenka’s Statements
MIKALAI SALIANIK

The Hrodna activist asked at the military enlistment office where he could receive the weapons promised by the dictator.

Apparently, the military enlistment office explains Lukashenka’s words in its own way, and has no plans to give away weapons to the citizens, if necessary, Radio Racyja reports.

The Hrodna city military enlistment office replied to the letter of activist Mikalai Salianik, in which he asked where he could receive his weapons, as promised by Lukashenka in the statement on provision of arms for every family to protect the Fatherland.

The answer of the military commissariat was not substantive on the point, although a full two-page letter was taken by Lukashenka’s quotation.

“We wanted to show the absurdity of Lukashenka’s statement. He calls himself a “guarantor of the Constitution”. And when he says this, it means that officials must follow his instructions. Then it turns out that either this is said by a person who is not respected and nobody’s going to fulfill his instructions, or it is sabotage by state the bodies on the ground,” said the activist.

Mikalai Salianik will not leave his question unanswered and will seek a written explanation from the regional military enlistment office when he, as a citizen of the country, can receive the weapons that Lukashenka promised, or clearly explain the reason for the refusal.
