Acquaintance Of Deceased In Staubtsy: Sasha Almost Always Spoke Belarusian

Colleagues and friends have spoken about the dead 11th grader.

The pupil of a Staubtsy school, Aliaksandr R., who died in the morning from a knife wound, is remembered by his colleagues with whom he worked in the local branch of the Belarusian Language Society.

As Aliaksandr's colleagues told Svaboda, he was a member of the BLS and actively participated in the organization’s activities.

Pavel Savitski, a Staubtsy resident, spoke about his dead comrade.

“Sasha was very serious and focused. He was going to go to Poland to study for a political scientist-journalist. On Mondays and Wednesdays I traveled with him from Minsk to Staubtsy. We had serious and interesting conversations about culture, history and language. Discussed everyday issues. Sasha almost always spoke Belarusian. And as far as I know, he encouraged his classmates to learn the language. He was fond of video editing. Always took the initiative and was ready to help. Until now, we cannot believe that this has happened. My condolences to parents and relatives.”

There are links to articles on the history of Belarus devoted to Belarusian literature, as well as his photographs in clothes with national symbols on Aliaksandr's pages on social networks.

The auditor of the BLS Staubtsy branch, Mikhail Matskevich, spoke about his colleague.

“Sasha is one of those young people whom you listen to and realize that they will have a big way. That in 10 or 15 years you will say “I know this guy!” Always open, with a strong-willed and youthful good look. He never refused to help, did everything right. It’s a pity that I spoke so little with him, and that now I’m not in the city.”

As journalists learned from his friends, Aliaksandr studied well, participated in school competitions.
