Policeman, In Whose Car Man aAllegedly Hung Himself, Promoted To Higher Rank

Last week, district police inspector Yauhen Dodz from Niasvizh district received senior lieutenant’s shoulder straps.

As previously reported, it was in his car, where detained Siarghei Abramovich was found hung in early December 2018.

According to the preliminary version, 48-year-old Abramovich hanged himself in the cabin of the police car on a cord from his own boot. There is still no final official version of the tragedy. The Investigation Committee is conducting a check.

Inna Rusak, the sister of the deceased, has told reporters that she has not been given a copy of her brother’s medical examination text. She was allowed only to read a part of the conclusion report. The video taken in the police car, where her brother had allegedly hanged himself, was not given to the woman either, although it is available in the case file.

Yauhen Dodz has refused to comment on the detainee’s death and his promotion. He offered to seek comments from the police authorities. However, the head of the Niasvizh District Department of Internal Affairs, Andrei Piatruchenia, also refused to comment on the situation.
