Arkady Babchenko: Belarus Will Be Russia’s Next Target

The journalist analyzed the military exercises of the Russian Federation in 2017 and 2018.

De facto the absorption of Belarus by Russia has already happened, and it will become the next target of Russia after Ukraine, journalist Arkady Babchenko said on air for Radio NV, nv.ua reports.

"It seems to me that Belarus will come next, because this is one of the most obvious goals. In my opinion, Russia has already absorbed Belarus, and there are exercises in the Far East with China going on now, the previous exercises were West-2017 at the territory Belarus, and this shows that the state sovereignty of Belarus can now be discussed less and less," he said.

Babchenko suggested that possible territorial absorption will occur without war, and as a result of the probable creation of a new territorial-state formation, Russian President Vladimir Putin will be able to "nullify" the term of his powers in this post.
