Rock-Solid Man

Rock-Solid Man
Andrei Sannikov

It is necessary to fight for freedom and justice, as John McCain did.

Yet John McCain was a rock-solid man. Only a great patriot and fighter could write a script for his funeral ceremony on the eve of death so well. It was beautiful, solemn, with dignity, emotional, and without falseness. He showed a really great America. There’s no need to make it great, because it’s already great. The current president of America was not invited demonstratively, not because McCain continued to fight with him after his death, but because he simply did not fit into his idea of America, which values above all freedom and respect for the individual.

But there were two of his rivals: George W. Bush, whom he had given place at the party's nomination, and Barack Obama, to whom he had lost the election. Bush spoke of his fellow party member as of a close friend, Obama, I thought so, wanted to please the deceased senator.

After his death, John McCain proved to be as strong and principled as he was during his lifetime. A sad farewell ceremony with McCain inspired more optimism and faith in justice than the rousing speeches of many politicians. It's just that it is necessary to fight for freedom and justice, as John McCain did that.

Rest in peace, Senator ...
