After six days of intensive therapy, the first head of Belarus flew to a conference in Seoul.

The first head of independent Belarus, Stanislau Shushkevich, has said in an interview to Narodnaya Volia that he suffered a heart attack while being on the go, nn.by reports.

"And the doctors, under whose care I was remaining, they did not notice it. But I was lucky – I got to the cardiology center, where good doctors were looking after me. And they offered me extensive treatment. One dropper lasted seven and a half hours. Can you imagine what it was? And there were six of them...".

"When I came to the RRPC Cardiology for a consultation, and the doctor looked at my cardiogram, he immediately asked: when did you suffer a heart attack? And it was said in the way, that I concluded that any fool, having looked at my cardiogram, would see a heart attack there. But it turned out that the doctors of the new smart state medical center, under which care I was, had failed to see it...".

Stanislau Shushkevich says that long droppers were worse than the flight from Moscow to Seoul, which lasts eight hours. I was on my legs for six days in the RRPC Cardiology.

He flew to Korea after the discharge from the hospital. He has been flying there annually for 26 years to attend the conference on the unification of Korea. This year there were many former presidents, prime ministers and chairmen of the Supreme Courts of Europe and the former CIS. Stanislau Shushkevich adds that he has backed out of lectures in foreign universities, because health does not allow.

When asked how his wife reacted to the heart attack, Stanislau Shushkevich says that she is a Candidate of Physico-Mathematical Sciences, but now she is quite good in medicine as well. "She controls me harder than the most rigorous doctor! And she makes me do a lot of things. And I do not resist..." – Stanislau Shushkevich jokes.
