Independent Journalist From Homel Shocks Lukashenka's "Servants"

Kanstantsin Zhukouski came to the court session in a prison garb.

September 21, the Tsentralny District court of Homel considered an administrative case brought against a public activist and freelancer Kanstantsin Zhukouski. He is accused of illegally producing and distributing media products (part 2, article 22.9 of the Administrative Code of the Republic of Belarus), the website of the HRC Viasna reports.

Zhukouski decided to come to court session wearing a prisoner's robe, which slightly shocked the court officials. However, not the judge. The sentence is a fine of 30 basic units.
