Belneftekhim: We To Continue Raising Gasoline Price

Motor gasoline in Belarus will increase in price steadily.

Concern Belneftekhim will continue to adhere to a restrained policy of increasing retail prices for motor gasoline on the domestic market, the deputy chairman of the concern Uladzimir Sizou told reporters on the sidelines of the international industry conference on oil refining, organized by PO Belorusneft in Minsk this Thursday, interfax.by reports.

We will continue to follow a restrained policy," – Sizau said, responding to a question from the Interfax-West agency about the further dynamics of a possible increase in retail prices for petroleum products.

According to him, when pricing, the concern will take into account the world price of oil and the dynamics of the exchange rate of the Belarusian ruble. At the same time, "we are limited by the social factor – the price of oil products has a significant impact on other sectors of the economy," – Sizau said.

On the other hand, the concern will focus also on the "external expenses," he added.

As it was reported, the price for motor gasoline increased 16 times at the filling stations of Belarus in 2018. The last rise in price, for 1 kopeck, occurred on September 16.

Currently, the retail price of AI-92-K5-Euro gasoline is Br1.35, AI-95-K5-Euro costs Br1.43, AI-98-K5-Euro costs Br1.64, DT price is Br1.43.

Belneftekhim previously explained that the phased increase in retail prices for motor gasoline is necessary to compensate for the increased expenses of refineries for the purchase of hydrocarbon raw materials.
