The Korzhych case shows the level of the Belarusian army.

Unexpected testimony at the trial in the case of Aliaksandr Korzhych. Sergeant Yauhen Baranouski refused to give part of the testimony given at the preliminary investigation, stating that the KGB employees put him under physical and psychological pressure, BelSat reports.

Aleh Vouchak says he believes in pressure on Baranouski.

"I trust him, we already had such information. But this is not just about one case. Wives of customs officers came to see me. 12 people wrote complaints that they were also blackmailed and threatened."

According to the human rights defender, the Korzhych case shows the level of the Belarusian army.

"Violence and torture are already a system."

Aleh Vouchak is sure, that the court defends the system, since the army cannot admit that criminals – officers and high-ranking officers, – are part of it.
