"I Am Being Shadowed": Belarusian Video Blogger Leaves Country

Ulad Maha said that he could repeat the fate of Alexander Lapshin.

Belarusian video blogger Uladzislau Masesau (aka Ulad Maha) said that he was wanted in Azerbaijan and therefore had to leave Belarus, Belsat reported.

Uladzislau has Armenian roots. He recently visited Azerbaijan, as well as Nagorno-Karabakh, which both Yerevan and Baku consider their territory. The video from this trip did not go unnoticed in Azerbaijan.

Soon Uladzislau Masesau began to receive threats. Dozens of them.

On July 14, the blogger made a video message stating that he was wanted in Azerbaijan, that he was "being shadowed everywhere," so he had to leave Belarus. "My life is in danger," – Masesau said.

Apparently, Masesau fears that the Belarusian authorities can extradite him to Azerbaijan. They did so to the Israeli blogger Alexander Lapshin, who was detained in Minsk, at the request of Baku last year.

"If I do not get in touch in three days, then something bad has happened to me," – Uladzislau said.

There is no official information that Uladzislau Masesau is wanted.
