Explosion Occurred In Babruisk Enterprise's Production Facility

At least three workers were injured.

An explosion occurred in the production facility of the JSC FanDOK (Babruisk) in the evening of June 21; there are victims, Aksana Salianiuk, the official representative of Investigative Committee department for the Mahiliou region, told to BelTA.

The explosion that caused the fire occurred at around 7:00 pm. There were employees in the production facility at that time. One worker got burns and was taken to the hospital. Two women suffered from the blast wave and were examined by medical workers. Fortunately, nothing threatens their lives.

The investigation is to establish all the circumstances of the incident, including whether there were violations of safety regulations, equipment operation rules. The investigators question eyewitnesses of the incident as well as the officials of the enterprise.

Experts from the Babruisk department of the State Committee for Forensic Expertise worked at the scene. They will have to examine the material evidence gathered at the scene of the incident.

According to Sviatlana Zychkova, an official representative of the State Committee for Forensic Expertise of Belarus for the Mahiliou region, it was a malfunctioning of the equipment that allegedly caused the explosion. The procedural decision will be made based on the results of the previous activities.
