Deputy Chief Of Medicine At Minsk Regional Children’s Hospital Takes Bribes For $23K

The defendant is held in custody.

The Investigatory Committee has completed investigation into the criminal case of the former Deputy Chief of Medicine for technical issues at the Minsk regional children’s clinic hospital. He was arrested in January 2018 for bribery, the Investigatory Committee informs.

The investigators established that, since May 2015 till December 2017 the defendant repeatedly took bribes from the representatives of the construction organizations for granting their involvement in the redecoration works at the objects of the medical institution, making construction contracts with them, positive acceptance of the works performed by them, and their timely payment.

- The investigation collected evidence on 24 facts of transferring money to an official for more than 46 thousand rubles, - said official representative of the Investigatory Committee directorate for the Minsk region Tatsiana Belanoh.

A criminal case was opened against the man under Part 1, Article 430 of the Criminal Code (receiving a bribe, including repeatedly and on a large scale). Now the defendant remains in custody.
