OLEG SENTSOV

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine officially recognizes 64 Ukrainian citizens arrested in Russia as political prisoners of the Russian regime.

The majority of them are Crimean Tatars convicted for taking part in the organization "Hizb ut-Tahrir", which Russia recognized as "terrorist" and banned.

Hollywood actor Johnny Depp expressing solidarity with Oleg Sentsov:

Political and creative figures around the world spoke in defense of Oleg Sentsov. The international community has recognized him and other Ukrainian citizens as political prisoners who serve their sentences in Russia.

Within the framework of the so-called Minsk agreements, the possibility of exchanging convicted Ukrainian citizens for 23 Russians arrested during an anti-terrorist operation in the Donbas was repeatedly voiced.

Oleg Sentsov announced an indefinite hunger strike on May 14. He said this in a note, which he passed through the lawyer. The only condition for its termination is the release of all Ukrainian political prisoners who are held at the territory of Russia.
