Maxim Filipovich became famous after covering mass protests against the decree on “parasites”.

A well-known blogger from Homel Maxim Filipovich was sentenced to 14 days of administrative detention by the Savetski district court of Homel. In addition, the blogger must pay a fine in the amount of 18 base fees - BYN 441, Belsat reports.

The grounds for the arrest were “complaints from citizens who appeared in the blog” by Maxim Filipovich.

The blogger became famous, when in 2017 he received a “letter of happiness” - an order from the tax inspectorate to pay tax on “parasitism”. Maxim began to actively cover in his blog the problems associated with the introduction in the country of tax for the unemployment. Some of his videos on this topic have collected about 500 thousand views.

After that, the authorities began to harass the blogger. Administrative cases were brought up on him several times, he was fined and arrested.
