Brest Waste Recycling Plant Evacuated Because Of Suspicious Box

Employees of the Brest waste recycling plant were evacuated because of a suspicious box. However, sappers did not find any explosive objects in it, Hanna Ivashchanka, the official representative of the Department of Internal Affairs of the Brest Regional Executive Committee, has told BelTA.

On November 29, at 17.34, the Maskouski district police department received a message from a master of the Brest waste recycling plant. The man said that a small paper box was found in the garbage with an inscription “Trotyl-400” attached by tape.

About 60 employees of the company were evacuated. Police officers, Emergency Situations Ministry employees, a sapper-pyrotechnic group of the military unit 5526, and doctors arrived to the scene. The experts did not find any explosive items during the examination of the box. There was a wooden bar inside it.
