The scandal around the policeman’s monument brought to life many internet-memes.

The official public of the Minsk Plant of Non-Alcoholic Beverages published a collage in which a giant bottle of the Minskaya-4 mineral water is standing at the very spot where the monument to a city policeman was installed, Belsat reports.

On November 17, a Minsker put a scarf on the policeman’s monument to take a photo. Police officers approached him and demanded he should go to the police department.

After the official Youtube channel of the MIA published a video in which a youngster apologizes to the monument, a flash-mob #forgivememonument started in the Belarusian internet. People jokingly ask forgiveness from monuments.

Blogger Yauhen Lipkovich created a petition at petitions.by for the demolition of the monument to the tsar’s policeman in Minsk. 1685 people have signed it by the moment of this publication.
