Last Respects To Ihar Luchanok Paid In Minsk

The ceremony took place in the Central House of Officers.
The public viewing of the People’s Artist of Belarus took place from 11 am to 2 pm in the Minsk Central House of Officers, Belsat reports.
Ihar Luchanok will be buried in the Eastern cemetery in Minsk.
Ihar Luchanok was a music teacher, Soviet and Belarusian composer, who mainly worked in the song genre. His works can be found in the repertoire of Mikhail Finberh’s orchestra, the ensembles of Pesniary, Siabry, Verasy, singers Rotaru, Kobzon, Tolkunova, Leshchenko and many others. From 1980 to the end of his life, Ihar Luchanok headed the board of the Union of Composers of Belarus.
Ihar Luchanok died at the age of 81. On November 2, he was hospitalized with a stroke.
