Young Mother Kicked Policeman In Face In Navapolatsk

The incident occurred near the Shafran cafe.

The incident with a Navapolatsk resident occurred in late April. A criminal case was initiated against the girl under article 364 of the Criminal Code of Belarus. The court has already passed sentence upon her, it has entered into legal force, gorod214.by writes.

According to prosecutor’s assistant Andrei Shadurka, at the end of April, a police department employee tried to detain a man for an administrative offense near the Shafran cafe in Navapolatsk. His acquaintance, a 24-year-old Navapolatsk resident, who was drunk, tried to save him from detention.

The girl kicked the policeman in the face and hit his nose, “causing a scratch”. A criminal case was initiated against her under Srticle 364 of the Criminal Code of Belarus (Violence or the threat of violence against an employee of the internal affairs bodies).

The maximum penalty under this article is six years in prison. Considering that the girl admitted her guilt, as well as the fact that she has a small child, the court imposed a sentence of one and a half years of imprisonment without its execution during a probationary period (1.5 years).

The court sentenced the 24-year-old Navapolatsk resident on charges of “using violence against an employee of the internal affairs bodies.“

Taking into account the position of the state prosecution, the presence of a minor child, as well as her confession of guilt, the court sentenced her to imprisonment for a term of 1 year and 6 months, and decided not to execute it during a trial period of 1 year and 6 months.

The verdict has come into force.
