Two Hrodna Region Traffic Inspectorate Officers Detained

They have been detained for bribery.

Two specialists of the control department of the automobile transport branch of the traffic inspectorate in the Hrodna region were detained for taking a bribe. The regional police informed this to tut.by.

The fact of bribery was revealed by the officers of the Economic Crimes Department of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Hrodna Regional Executive Committee. The police detained two residents of the regional center, born in 1979 and 1995 immediately after they have committed the crime.

- The officers of the traffic inspectorate in the Hrodna region stopped cars that were transiting through the territory of the Hrodna region. Then they looked for any violations, and after that they suggested solving the existing problem in a simpler way. On October 18, these citizens received money for a favorable solution of the issue, which is within their competence, and were detained, - told the police.

The police officers have reasons to believe that this case was not a single one. Now the detainees are being checked for involvement in other similar crimes.
