Letters With Bomb Threat Sent To Tut.by Office

The police are working at the office.

In the morning of October 19, the police, investigators and experts were working in the office of the company 100 WORKS HERE in Minsk, tut.by writes. Unknown had sent several letters with threats to explode the building.

According to preliminary data, at least two strange letters arrived, 20 minutes apart, at the company's mail.

The unknown asked to stop sending some kind of messages, otherwise “we will explode you and your office” and there will be “an explosion of the building in Dzerzhinsky Avenue.” The employees appealed to the police.

The law enforcement officers, as well as employees of the Investigative Committee and criminologists of the State Committee of forensic examinations started their work in the office at about 9.30. A check was carried out on the fact of threats, the identity and motives of the author of the letters were investigated into.

The evacuation was not needed, the room was checked by a dog handler with a service dog.

We remind that such actions may result in criminal liability. According to Art. 340 of the Criminal Code, a knowingly false danger report is punishable by a fine – and up to 5 years in prison.
