Homel Activist Appeals To Ukraine’s Embassy Due To Defacing Mikhail Zhyzneuski’s Tomb

The UCP activist Uladzimir Katsora appealed to the Ukrainan Embassy due to the defacing of the tomb of the Hero of Ukraine Mikhail Zhyzneuski, buried near Homel. The vandals repeatedly spoiled the monument to the hero, Radio Liberty reports.

“It is desireable that President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko pays attention to this situation during his visit to Homel. It would be even better if he visited the grave of the Hero of Ukraine,” the activist believes, having passed the relevant appeal through the Embassy of Ukraine.

Petro Poroshenko is expected in Homel at the forum of the regions of Belarus and Ukraine on October 25-26.
