Kastsevich Informed About Testing “Parasite” Database

The first results of testing will be available in November.

The database of people not employed in the economy is currently being tested in Belarus. This has been announced in the “parliament” by Minister of Labor and Social Protection Iryna Kastsevich today. The head of the department also said whether the work on revising contributions to the NSSF is currently under way. The Ministry of Taxes and Levies previously reported about the possible changes in contributions to the fund, tut.by writes.

– At the end of October and beginning of November, following the results of testing (of the database of people not employed in the economy – Ed.), I will go to the regions to talk about the revealed situation and the way we will solve these problems, – Iryna Kastsevich said.

We remind that in July, Lukashenka asked how the database of able-bodied citizens, who are not employed in the economy, was being formed by the Ministry of Labor.

– We proposed to the government, in particular to the Ministry of Labor, to test this database since September, if the decree comes into force in January, because there will still be some shortcomings, some minor mistakes, – Maryjanna Shchotkina said. – It is quite difficult to put together all the data into a single database. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct approbation since September, we insist on it.

Earlier, a special program for the preparation and sending of electronic documents, through which it is possible to transmit data on the population employed in the economy online, was posted on the Ministry of Labor website. This information will be used to form the database of those not engaged in the economy, which the agency is to have created by December 1 of this year. The program is already available for downloading.

We remind that on January 25, Lukashenka signed Decree No. 1, which provides for measures to promote employment. The new decree does not include the norms on collecting of funds from able-bodied non-working citizens to finance state expenditures.

Special commissions to collect information about the “parasites” will be created at places.

The able-bodied citizens who are not employed in the economy will reimburse 100% of costs for the following utilities: hot water supply, gas supply in the presence of individual gas heating devices, heat supply.

The decree comes into force on January 1, 2019.
