It it time to line up for currency?

Last week the Belarusian ruble dropped against currency busket again. What is to happen to currency rate this week? Will the decline of the ruble continue? Myfin.by reached Vadzim Iasub, senior analyst of Alpari company, for comments.

- For the second week in a row the Belarusian ruble has been declining against the currency basket. Accordingly, three currencies grow.

It happened against the background of the world-wide dollar strengthening in the world market, including strengthening against euro.

The ratio euro/dollar dropped from 1.1620 to 1.15 or by 1%. At that, dollar and euro grew against the Russian ruble. Over the week dollar dollar appreciated against the Russian ruble by 1.4%, and against euro by 0.4%.

All the same, the depreciated Russian ruble grew against the Belarusian one by 0.62%.

Euro increased by 1.04%, dollar by 2.06%.

We deal with not only mixed fluctuations of currencies, but an explicit decline of the Belarusian ruble against the currency basket. That is, the Belarusian ruble depreciates even against declining Russian ruble.

Most likely, no drastic changes in currency demand have occurred among the population (this statistics will be known later).

Enterprises have caused a seasonal demand for currency.

The depreciation of the Russian and Belarusian ruble will continue

What is to happen to currency rate this week? According to the international practice, strengthening of dollar against all world currencies may continue.

At that, the Russian ruble will depreciate.

However, the Belarusian ruble may again drop against all three currencies.

Dollar may appreciate by 2.2 rubles, euro - by 2.50, and Russian ruble by 3.26 for 100 Russian rubles.
